The Deanwood development pipeline is getting another addition.

A developer has filed a zoning application to enable a 16-unit building on the vacant lot at 1430 Eastern Avenue NE (map). The apartment site is in the RA-1 zone, which requires any new multifamily construction be considered a zoning special exception.

The resulting building would be three stories plus a cellar, and the unit mix would span from studios to two-bedrooms. The development would also include two Inclusionary Zoning units, five long-term bicycle spaces, and six surface parking spaces.

A zoning hearing has not yet been scheduled.
