A smaller residential development is on the boards for a corner just north of Howard University.
Plans were recently submitted to DC's Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) for a new 10-unit residential project at 2816-2818 Georgia Avenue NW (map). The developer plans to demolish the existing structures on the two lots and then build a four-story development with a cellar and penthouse.
The Teass/Warren-designed development will have commercial space on the ground level. The project will largely be a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments with one three-bedroom unit.
The new residential project adds to a growing pipeline of development on the boards in and around Howard University. Below are some other projects in the works.
