2715 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Georgetown
Construction on a five-story, seven-unit building at 2715 Pennsylvania Avenue NW has begun. It has been a long road for this project. Eastbanc pitched the development nearly a decade ago. It then received approval from the Old Georgetown Board and DC Zoning Commission, which resulted in the gas station on site being demolished in 2018. However, since then there have been a number of fits and starts that left some in Georgetown wondering if the project was ever going to be built. The plans for the development include residences that will range in size from 2,000 to 3,600 square feet for the penthouse. Souto Moura Arquitectos is the designer and CORE architecture + design, inc. is the architect of record. An EastBanc representative told UrbanTurf that the developer is still considering putting a restaurant on the ground floor of the project. Delivery is currently targeted for late 2026.
