Konterra Realty and Gould Property Company broke ground in May 2026 on the downtown of Konterra, the much-anticipated 1,400-acre, mixed-use, walkable community taking shape at the meeting point of Anne Arundel, Montgomery, Prince George’s and Howard counties. Konterra will offer apartments, townhomes, shops, dining and offices amid 8.5 miles of trails, parks and European-style plazas. The development's downtown, encompassing 400 acres, will begin construction with The Marais Townhomes, Konterra’s first residential offerings built by Caruso Homes, expected to deliver fall 2026. Miles of parks and trails; community amenities and fitness offerings serving residents; apartments; and best-in-class shops and dining will follow.
