H Street Corridor

Dila Development and Construction has plans in the works to convert an office building located just north of the H Street Corridor into a 90-unit condominium building plus four townhouses. The developer purchased the building from the non-profit World Vision back in April with an eye towards a conversion. Dila's Utku Aslanturk told UrbanTurf that the condos will be a mix of studios, one- and two-bedrooms, with four, 4-5 bedroom townhomes behind the condo building. The new condos will have ceiling heights of 12 to 14-feet, an uncommonly high ceiling height for new city residences. The building, named ANKA, will also have a common rooftop terrace, gym, dog wash, lounge, as well as private roof decks on some units. The by-right conversion is hoping to deliver approximately a year from now.
