Urban Atlantic has filed a large tract review with DC to redevelop the former Boys Town campus at 4801 Sargent Road NE into 170 duplex townhomes. As part of the site work for the development, Urban Atlantic will raze many of the existing structures on the 12-acre plot, but plans to adaptively reuse the school building in the middle of the campus, and create a large open space with the new development. All of the new residential units will be for-sale, with 10% set aside as affordable under the city's inclusionary zoning requirements. Boys Town, which was founded in Nebraska over a century ago, ceased operations at the DC campus last year.
