Today, UrbanTurf is taking a look around DC to see where home sellers are dropping prices this summer.
With data provided by Bright MLS, we looked at neighborhoods with at least 10 homes on the market to see where prices are being cut. For this analysis, we used data from June and July.
In more moderately priced areas like Bloomingdale, Brookland and Petworth, about 1 in 4 of homes have seen price reductions over the last two months, while in higher-priced areas, like Chevy Chase and Logan Circle, that number is in the 10% range. In Spring Valley, no listings on the market have seen a price reduction in the last several weeks.

The percentage of listings with price cuts so far in 2025 is a bit higher than at this time last year. If you are curious about the percentage of homes that have seen price reductions in your neighborhood, shoot us an email at editor(at)urbanturf.com and we will give you the answer.
