Renters in the H Street area can lease 1,400 square feet of living space in an unfurnished and newly-renovated rowhouse. The three-bedroom house has a room off the kitchen that can function as either office or mudroom, with access to a backyard that has both paved and grassy areas. Otherwise, the main floor has an open design and high ceilings, with sun filling the space from the many windows and a skylit master suite bath.

A Duplex Penthouse Overlooking 13th Street in Logan Circle

On the other end of the spectrum, this budget can afford a duplex penthouse condo between Logan and Thomas Circles. The modern unit has oversized windows throughout and both bathrooms are on the main floor with the master suite. A large area under the stairs can be used either for storage, seating, or as an office space, as can an extra space at the top of the stairs. The stairs also lead to a partially-furnished 400 square-foot private outdoor terrace.
