This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looked in the $3,000 a month range and found a variety of choices for prospective renters in the DC area with this monthly budget.

Two-Level One-Bedroom Near UrbanTurf’s Favorite Coffeeshop

This one-bedroom spans two floors of a row house just north of Dupont Circle (around the corner from UrbanTurf’s favorite coffeeshop Filter). The main floor is bright, with bay windows in the large living room, and there is a spiral staircase that goes down to the bedroom, which we’re guessing is a little dark (no photos, unfortunately). It’s been renovated recently, with new appliances, floors and windows, and it has a washer/dryer. The apartment also comes with parking for an additional $200 per month, small pets are welcome, and the unit is available now. The rent just may be a little high for most renters looking for a one-bedroom.

Ultra Modern Option For Renters Who Love Windows

This two-bedroom townhouse at 434 N Street NW looks like something out of a futuristic movie. Clean lines, huge windows and a 25-foot ceiling in the living room create an appealingly bright space, but the identical neighbors are a little spooky; the townhouse is one of several indistinguishable homes built on the block a few years ago. The designers nodded to DC’s traditional row houses with red brick facades, but modernity rules everywhere else. For $2,995, renters get a pretty spacious living situation, with a den/office and a rooftop patio. The 2,200 square-foot house is walking distance from Chinatown, comes with gated parking and is available now.

Five-Bedroom Family Home in Silver Spring With a Pastoral View

Located in a bucolic, far-out section of Silver Spring, this 3,000 square-foot five-bedroom home looks like it sits on quite a bit of land. The house has an eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, den and three bathrooms in addition to the bedrooms. There are several fireplaces and a deck, and while the home is available immediately, the landlords would prefer a tenant looking to sign a two-year lease.
