WeWork opened its second-ever "WeLive" concept at a converted office in Crystal City back in 2016. The dorm-like co-living development offered residents "memberships" and flexible living arrangements at a variety of price points.

Today, Common announced that it is taking over management of the WeLive Crystal City building at 2221 S. Clark Street (map). While Common has eight buildings in DC and also runs part of the i5 development in Union Market (formerly known as The Highline), this would be the company's first foray into Northern Virginia.
The building, now known as Common at National Landing, has 216 furnished units, ranging from private studios to traditional co-living style units, which tend to be multi-bedroom residences with shared living spaces. All residents have access to a variety of shared amenities and their membership also entitles them to a unit or a bedroom in their shared unit. Membership prices start at just under $1,000 per month.
Owned by JBG Smith, the building also used to house a WeWork location.
