Washington Capital Nicklas Backstrom Buys $8.5 Million McLean Home

Nicklas Backstrom, arguably one of the best professional hockey players of the last 15 years, has some brand new digs in Virginia.
The center for the Washington Capitals purchased a brand new $8.5 million home in McLean in July, people familiar with the transaction told UrbanTurf.

The 16,000 square-foot home was completed this summer and features a number of amenities that come with a home carrying a price tag of this size, including a home gym and spa, home theater, elevator and outdoor pool and firepit.
The home was listed with TTR Sotheby's International Realty and Compass' Sherif Abdalla, who declined comment, represented the buyer.
