A new ride-hailing service for kids will launch in DC next month.
Zum will start offering rides in September, and parents will be able to set up the rides for their children on a one-time, recurring or monthly basis. The service provides booster seats and car seats, and is able to handle rides for more than one child at a time. The plan is that the service will also partner with schools for pick-up and drop-off.

Zum says that its drivers go through a three-step screening and vetting process and that all drivers have at least three years of childcare experience.
The service is not the first ride-hailing company to come to DC. HopSkipDrive launched in the region earlier this year.
