This Week's Find: Gleaming Row House in Striver's Section Historic District: Figure 1

This Week’s Find is a three-bedroom row house that sits just to the north of U Street in the historic Striver’s Section Historic District, a neighborhood that was primarily home to upper-class African Americans in the late 19th century. The well-priced property has an updated gourmet kitchen that now includes granite floors with radiant heat, and an entrance that has been widened to include an eat-in area. The main level also has a large living room, dining room and a back terrace off the kitchen.

Unlike most row houses in the neighborhood, the owners dug out the lower level to create a fully finished basement that is currently used as a home office. The lower level has wood floors, recessed lighting, an updated bathroom, and a laundry room with full size, front-loading washer and dryer.
