A few months ago, UrbanTurf shed light on a converted chapel condo on the Forest Glen National Park Seminary campus, part of a series of adaptive reuse projects delivering residences to the site. This Week's Find is another one of those newly created units: a three bedroom carved out of a firehouse.
The firehouse unit is one of 14 condos within three interconnected, designated historic buildings at The Power Plant at NPS, and one of two units retrofit out of the early 20th century firehouse. There are patio areas on either side of the front door, which has three picture windows in the middle aligning with the rows of windows in the bright red garage doors on either side.

Aside from the garage doors also doubling as bright accents, the interior does not emphasize many of the original architectural features one might expect to see in a firehouse. The three bedroom unit contemporizes what was original and offers several upgrades, from oversized windows to heated floors.
The front door enters into the open main level between the living room and the eat-in kitchen, which has silestone counters, a six-burner range cooktop beneath a chef's hood, and a waterfall island with reclaimed wood facing.
On the second level, the master suite has double-height ceilings and an attached den/sitting room, the second bedroom suite also has extra high ceilings and access to a private terrace, and the third bedroom suite has a bay window reading nook. There is also a skylit loft bonus room on the level above.
The listing comes with two garage and one surface parking space with an electric vehicle charger, as well as a storage unit. More details are below.
