Annie Leibovitz’s West Village home.
Last Friday, we asked readers to guess the price of the just-listed home of photographer-to-the-stars Annie Leibovitz in Manhattan’s West Village. Here is a brief description of the property for those that missed the post:
The listing actually totals three townhouses, one of which serves as a photography studio. The total square footage comes in at just over 10,200, and there are a total of 13 fireplaces.
Take a look:
We also mentioned that when coming up with a hunch, those guessing should keep in mind that the listing is located in one of the most expensive neighborhoods for real estate in the country. And most took that into account, as guesses ranged from $12.8 million all the way up to $60 million. So how much would you have to plunk down for this palatial pad(s)? The price: $33 million. Here is the listing.
Shortly after running the contest, we learned that The Wall Street Journal had written about this piece of celebrity real estate on Friday morning, which may have been why three readers hit the price right on the nose. Still, congratulations to RMikes, Greed and Maddog!
