Most buyers and renters in the market for a new home are not actively seeking out studios as they set out on their search. However, these one-room living options are sometimes the financially sensible option, particularly in cities like DC where both rents and home prices are high.
San Francisco Studio
In a recent post on their DC site, Apartment Therapy highlighted a number of studio owners/renters around the country that have made very good use of their 300 to 400 interior square footage. The post includes homes from San Francisco, Chicago and New York and interviews each renter/owner about the challenges they faced decorating such a small space and the piece of advice that each would give for someone looking to do the same thing.
