Last week, UrbanTurf took a look at the DC neighborhoods that have seen the highest home appreciation this year. Today, we highlight the areas where you are likely paying above list price for your new home.

So far in 2019, homes in the six neighborhoods below have been selling at or above their asking price, on average. Neighborhood sales were calculated according to the advertised subdivision, and for inclusion on the list, there had to be at least ten sales in 2019.

The list features a regular cast of characters from both sides of the city. Unsurprisingly, American University Park, a neighborhood that we posited could be the most competitive in the city, is leading the way. Congress Heights, LeDroit Park and Anacostia all tied for second on the list with an average sales to original list price ratio of 102%. The upper NW neighborhoods of North Cleveland Park and Chevy Chase round out the top six.
