With Memorial Day coming up, UrbanTurf is taking its bi-annual look at the neighborhoods across the city that have seen the highest home price appreciation this year.
In the table below, we outline the five neighborhoods that have seen the largest increase in home values. In order to qualify for the list, a neighborhood had to record at least 15 sales this year. The list represents a wide geographic swath of the city as evidenced by the top three neighborhoods -- Barry Farm, Wesley Heights and Woodridge -- covering three different quadrants. Coming in fourth is Forest Hills where prices rose $130,000 on median and then rounding out the list is American University Park, the northwest DC neighborhood that might be the most competitive market in the city right now.
