The 5 DC Neighborhoods Where You Are Paying Above Asking in 2020

So far in 2020, homes in the five DC neighborhoods below have been selling at or above their asking price, on average. Neighborhood sales were calculated according to the advertised subdivision, and for inclusion on the list, there had to be at least ten sales this year.

In recent years, the list above featured a regular cast of characters from both sides of the city. In 2020, four out of five neighborhoods are located in the NW quadrant and three are clumped right around one another.
As is becoming custom, American University Park is leading the way with an average sales to original list price ratio of almost 103%. Running north to south, the U Street Corridor, Logan Circle and Mount Vernon Square follow behind with average sales to original list price ratios just above 100%, with a large volume of condos sold this year. Capitol Hill rounds out the top five at 100%.
