In January, the Montgomery County Planning Board approved a proposal to replace a pair of apartment buildings at 4901 Battery Lane (map) with a new 12-story residential building. Now, we are getting a sense of what that project will look like.
New plans filed with the planning board show the first detailed renderings of the 372-unit development. The project, from WC Smith and designed by SK+I Architecture, would have rooftop amenity space, a two-level lobby, multiple outdoor courtyards, a fenced dog-run and other dog amenities, and a large underground parking garage. Approximately 15% of the units will be moderately-priced (MPDU).
