Parker Flats
UrbanTurf has learned that Parker Flats, a 92-unit development that sits on the border of Bloomingdale and LeDroit Park, sold out earlier this week. Pre-sales by the UrbanLand Company started at the development in 2007, and it delivered in early 2008. The final two units to go under contract were a one-bedroom unit and a studio.
The development consists of three buildings — the Gage School, Flagler and 2nd and V. (The Gage School is a restored 1904 schoolhouse.) Many of the units at Parker Flats have 14-foot ceilings, large windows and exposed brick, and the project has a fitness center and underground parking for residents. Prices originally ranged from the low-to-mid $200,000s for a studio to the mid-$400,000s for a two-bedroom unit.
Aaron Posey bought his 1,000 square-foot two-bedroom back in September 2009.
“I have become very good friends with many of my neighbors over the last year and a half,” he told UrbanTurf. “It’s been interesting being part of a brand new condo development where there are no precedents to follow.”
