A nine-unit apartment building will be breaking ground in Woodley Park in early 2013, UrbanTurf has learned.
Located at 2852 Connecticut Avenue NW (map), the project from developer Murillo/Malnati Group (MMg) recently received final approval from the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB).
The building, which is right across the street from the Zoo, will be comprised of a mix of studios, one- and two-bedrooms ranging in size from 700 square feet to 1,300 square feet. Rents for one-bedrooms will likely start at $1,900, and two-bedrooms at $2,800. Construction should take about a year, and the project is estimated for delivery in early 2014.
MMg is also working on a mixed-use development in Georgetown, which should be complete by the end of 2013. The developers will restore a historic facade and build four stories for a mix of residences and retail.
