A few more details are coming out regarding the highly-anticipated Stephen Starr-backed Italian restaurant concept that is coming to the Georgetown Market in the next 12 to 18 months.

Plans filed with DC's Historic Preservation Review Board this week reveal plans for a 312-seat eatery at the former Dean & Deluca location at 3270 M Street NW (map) with a variety of different components including a mozzarella bar, a prosciutto bar and a large oval cocktail bar. The restaurant would have seating in a main dining area, a mezzanine, as well a solarium, and there will be a small grocery component at the front of the eatery. HapstakDemetriou+ is the architect.

Stephen Starr, who has become well known in DC restaurant circles with Le Diplomate in Logan Circle and St. Anselm at Union Market, described the new establishment in 2021 as a “mega Italian concept” that will offer an “abundant, unbelievable experience.”
