Rendering of proposed project.
Late Tuesday, JDLand posted details about a massive mixed-use project planned for next to Nationals Stadium. The full run of details about the development can be found on the prolific blogger’s site, but here are the key bullet points:
- The project will be adjacent to the stadium on a plot bounded by M Street, N Street and 1st Street SE.
- It will include a 224,500 square-foot office building, a 180-room hotel, a 292-unit residential project and 43,000 square feet of retail.
- There will be 366 underground parking spaces, and the project architect is Hickok Cole, who is also designing a new proposed 40-unit project in Logan Circle.
Word of the new project comes just a month after news that national home builder Toll Brothers has purchased the land adjacent to Velocity Condos (map) where it will build a 250-unit residential project.
