Latest Project to Sell Out: The Phoenix at Clarendon

The Phoenix at Clarendon has sold the last of its remaining units, according to an announcement by McWilliams|Ballard, the firm that handled sales and marketing for the project. The Phoenix is a 181-unit mixed-use development that delivered in 2007 and offered everything from studios to 2-bedroom-with-dens. It is located at 1020 North Highland Street, a couple blocks from the Clarendon Metro station (map).

The Phoenix at Clarendon becomes the latest new condo development in the DC area to sell out. Ten Ten Mass, the 163-unit project at the edge of Downtown, sold out a couple weeks ago.

These sell-outs are evidence of a dwindling supply of new condo inventory across the metropolitan area, a trend which many believe may lead to a condo shortage sometime in the next two years. While all the remaining condos are bought up, no new projects are expected to deliver for another couple years. For more on the potential shortage, see:
