360 Degree Views at 750 Feet: Figure 1

A Japanese skyscraper will redefine what is meant by sweeping views.

A 230-meter skyscraper is on the boards for the Shibuya District of Tokyo, designboom reported Friday morning. The tower will have a sky deck, allowing visitors to see many of the ward’s other landmarks, including as far as Mt. Fuji, and the busy streets below.

The building itself will be mixed-use with retail, offices and other space for programs and arts and cultural uses.

Designed by SANAA, Kengo Kuma and Nikken, all of which are celebrated architectural firms, the tower is expected to join the skyline in 2019.
