As we continue to delve into metrics that paint a picture of the DC-area housing market this year, we take a look around DC to see how quickly (or slowly) homes are selling in various neighborhoods.
Using median days on market data for advertised subdivisions, we highlighted how long homes are taking to sell around the city.

Like last year, two adjacent upper NW DC neighborhoods are seeing homes sell at the quickest pace in 2024. Listings in AU Park and Spring Valley are spending less than a week on the market on the market on median. Chevy Chase, Mt. Pleasant and Palisades are also seeing homes sell in about a week.
While the homes in the northwest quadrant of the city are moving quickly, it is a different story on the other side of DC. Homes in places like Deanwood, Trinidad and Anacostia are sitting on the market for several weeks, on median.
