Georgetown Domino's Will Be Razed to Make Way For Luxury Condos

The redevelopment plans for the Georgetown Domino's have followed a narrative similar to that of Goldilocks and the Three Bears: first, the plans were too big. Then, they were too small. Now, are they just right?
Three years after a frowned-upon 26 units were proposed for the single-story site at 3255-3259 Prospect Street NW (map), two years after the project shrunk to 7 units and a year after plans for a single-family home were floated, a raze application has been filed for the site and a new project is on the boards.

Robert Elliott now plans to deliver a four-story building with street level retail and four condominium units, UrbanTurf has learned. Three of those units will occupy an entire floor.
Construction is anticipated to begin in January.
