From One to a Dozen in 16th Street Heights

A single-family home in 16th Street Heights could be razed to make way for a new development with larger units than is typical of new development in DC.
Plans have been filed with DC's Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) for a new 12-unit development at the site of a single-family house at 1307 Longfellow Street NW (map).

Unlike most new residential development around the city, this new project will consist entirely of larger residences: eight two-bedrooms and four three-bedrooms. The new development will also have four parking spaces.
Earlier this month, UrbanTurf covered a new 47-unit residential building pitched to replace the Flip-It Bakery & Deli on the Brookland-Langdon border. This project also consists of larger residences with even some five-bedrooms included in the mix.
