Some missing middle development is on the boards a few blocks from Skyland Town Center.
Developer TMT Services, LLC has filed a zoning application to replace the detached house at 2340 Ainger Place SE (map) with a pair of buildings, delivering a total of 21 units.

The units would all be townhouse-style duplexes with four bedrooms and two baths; at least two would be Inclusionary Zoning. There would be 23 surface parking spaces behind the buildings. Lee Design Studio is the architect.
The development requires a variance for the width of the driveway and the location of the bicycle parking, along with a special exception for the "theoretical lot subdivision". A zoning hearing has not yet been scheduled. Additional renderings are below.
