The view from the 88th/70th floor.
If reinforcement was needed that it is nice being Derek Jeter, here it is.
In this week’s departure from all things DC real estate, we learn that the Yankees shortstop has listed his altitude-sickness inducing Trump Tower condo in Manhattan for $20 million.
The 5,425 square-foot, four-bedroom condo is on what is billed the 88th floor of 845 United Nations Plaza, but The New York Times reports that a discrepancy between the elevator numbers and the number of stories in the building means that the unit is actually on the 70th floor.
Still, as the photos show, the vantage point from this height is both amazing and terrifying, the 16-foot windows offering views of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and the East River. (Aside from the views, the condo looks a little sterile, in our humble opinion. Also, doesn’t a $20-million property deserve slightly better photos?)
The Times reports that Jeter bought the condo in 2001 for $12.6 million. More photos below.
