A DC-area based modular accessory dwelling builder is expanding its reach.

“With recent pain points in the construction industry, we saw an opportunity to bring developments in modular manufacturing to hospitality,” TOMU founder and president Chris Osaka said in a statement. “We’ve designed a modular system that is purpose-built for the needs of rental and hospitality use and can be delivered faster with minimal impact to any existing operations.” The units will arrive on site 95% complete.
Two months ago, Osaka shared with UrbanTurf that demand had risen so much that they needed to ramp up production. Unit deliveries will begin this fall.
