ARLnow is reporting that car2go will launch in Arlington later this week. A company spokesperson tells the site that the cars will be operational starting Thursday.
The point-to-point car-sharing service responsible for all of the two-toned tiny cars zipping around the area launched in DC back in 2012. Currently, there are over 66,000 car2go users in the region and 7,300 of those users live in Arlington.

Car2go members will be able to pick up a car in Arlington, but must also end their trip in the Arlington “home area”, a policy that will likely frustrate many users who only use the cars for one-way trips.
“I have a car that I keep in Virginia, so I would likely only use the service if I could do a one-way rental, picking up in D.C. and dropping off in Arlington,” a user told The Washington Post back in September.
