Ben Stein's turn as the dry-as-dust high school teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of the classic cameos from 1980s cinema. Stein is a native of Silver Spring and is among this week's additions to Bigwig Digs, along with former Redskin Clinton Portis and Helen Churchill Candee, the Titanic survivor who inspired the character played by Kate Winslet in the 1997 film.
