Artist’s Loft Meets Master Bedroom in Shaker-Like Row House

The Shaker style of architecture came from the thinking that every object in a home should have a function and that decoration was unnecessary. This 1,700 square-foot two-bedroom row house near the Senate in Capitol Hill seems to have been designed with those tenets in mind.
