Yesterday, the Historic Preservation Review Board granted approval to the design of a two-story ADU located in the Anacostia Historic District. Slated for a concrete slab at the rear of 1226 Pleasant Street SE (map), the new structure would deliver a garage parking spot beneath a one-bedroom, owner-occupied apartment.
The ADU will be 16 feet tall and will have a flat metal roof and brick and wood siding. A set-back on the second story will also create a balcony for the unit. fieldCRAFTstudio is the architect.
