Glover Park Rowhouse With a Glassy Renovation
From the front, this Glover Park rowhouse looks just a bit atypical, with a few extra windows. From the back, however, the home is strikingly modern. The rear walls are largely made up of windows, and a second story floor has been removed on one side to create a sitting room with a double-height ceiling and one very tall wall of glass. The room opens up to a back deck. On the upper level, the master bedroom is attached to a sunny sitting room at the back of the house, which opens up to another deck with a hammock and a tree-filled view. All these attributes resulted in the home selling for $86,000 above its asking price.

Capitol Hill Victorian Near Union Station
Located on the eastern side of Capitol Hill, this Victorian sits just above Stanton Park, a few minutes from Eastern Market and Union Station. The interior is well maintained, with historical details, pretty woodworking on the staircase, a fireplace in the living room, and a tin ceiling in the dining room. Our favorite room, however, was the bedroom seen above, with its exposed brick and wall of bay windows. The home found a buyer in just under a week who paid just over $40,000 more than the asking price.

- Sales Price: $740,000
