The Shaw pipeline is starting the year off hot.

MidCity Development has shared plans with the community to replace the four vacant apartment buildings on east side of the 1700 block of 8th Street NW (map) with a nine-story, 316-unit project. Fifteen percent of the units will be affordable to households earning up to 60% of area median income, and 20% of the units will be two- and three-bedrooms.
