96-Unit Apartment Project Opens on the Edge of Georgetown

It has been years since a new large-scale residential project opened its doors in Georgetown, but that recently changed.
Holladay Corporation has completed Highbridge, a 96-unit apartment project in what used to be The Georgetown, a former retirement community at 2512 Q Street NW (map). The last residents of The Georgetown moved out in 2014 and construction to convert the community to apartments started in March 2017.

Georgetown is a notoriously difficult neighborhood in which to get construction projects approved, but Highbridge, a by-right project, had a relatively smooth path. The project features studio, one- and two-bedroom rentals as well as amenities that include complimentary rental bicycles.
