The redevelopment plans for Arlington's Courthouse Landmark block are coming into focus.
Greystar has filed a preliminary site plan application with the county to redevelop a collection of seven parcels bound by Wilson and Clarendon Boulevards, 15th Street N and N Uhle Street, the commercial block steps from Court House Metro station (map).
The plans call for a 210 foot-tall building, delivering 418 apartments above 18,020 square feet of ground-floor retail. A portion of the residences will be microunits, and the remainder will span from studios to two-bedrooms with dens, with the exception of a couple three-bedrooms on the penthouse level.

There will also be 156 residential and 60 retail parking spaces across three below-grade levels, in addition to 418 bicycle spaces. Cooper Carry is the architect.
The building at 2049 15th Street N (map) is owned by Arlington County, so the developer is requesting to purchase the property from the county concurrently to the application. The application also seeks to develop on a 10-foot, or 1,733 square-foot, portion of N Uhle Street to create a pedestrian-only "promenade" between Clarendon and Wilson Boulevards.
