In late September, legislation was introduced in the District that would heavily regulate the city’s Airbnb industry. Shortly before Thanksgiving, the multi-billion-dollar short-term rental company published a report, perhaps in response to the proposed bills, that illustrates the economic impact that Airbnb has on the nation’s capital.
