One month after Town's last night in town, plans for redevelopment of the Shaw nightclub are coming into focus.
Jefferson Apartment Group is planning to redevelop the building at 2009 8th Street NW (map) with a mixed-use project. The new project is expected to be 70 feet tall with 132 residential units above ground-floor commercial space, ANC 1B Commissioner Nicole Cacozza told UrbanTurf.

The façade of the building may be incorporated into the future construction also. Bringing mixed-use residential to the site is on brand with all of the development which has sprung up and is still underway in Shaw and along the U Street Corridor.
UrbanTurf will provide an update with more details as they are made available.
